The Website may contain links to, or otherwise, make available, third-party websites, services, or other resources not operated by us or on our behalf (“Third Party Services”). These links are provided as a convenience only and do not constitute an affiliation with, endorsement, or sponsorship of the Third Party Services. Any information you provide to such third parties is not subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy, and we are not responsible for the privacy or security of the information you provide to them or their handling of your information. We recommend that you review the privacy policy of any third party to whom you provide personal information online.

In addition, we are not responsible for the information collection, use disclosure, or security policies and practices or other organizations, such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, RIM, or any other app developer, app provider, operating system provider, wireless service provider, or device manufacturer.

We seek to use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect personal information within our organization. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Cookies and other technologies

Like many other websites and online services, we collect information about the Website’s traffic and usage patterns through the use of cookies, web server logs, web beacons, and other similar technologies. We use this information for various purposes, such as to ensure that the Website functions properly, to facilitate navigation, to personalize your experience, to understand the use of the Website, to diagnose problems, to measure the success of our marketing efforts, and otherwise administer the Website.

Cookies are small computer files we transfer to your computer’s hard drive. These small text files help us personalize content on our pages. Your browser software can be set to reject or accept cookies. Instructions for resetting the browser are available in the Help section of most browsers.

Our use of cookies also allows us to collect and receive certain information about a website user, such as the type of web browser used by our visitors. Reviewing our web server logs and our visitors’ use of our site helps us to, among other purposes, statistically monitor how many people are using our site and for what purpose.

Pixel tags are a type of technology placed on a website or within the body of an email for the purpose of tracking certain activity, such as views of a website or when an email is open. Pixel tags are often used in combination with cookies.

Your IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer that you are using by your Internet Service Provider. An IP address may be identified and logged automatically in our web server log files whenever a user accesses the Website, along with the time of the visit and the pages(s) that were visited. Collecting IP addresses is standard practice and is done automatically by many websites, applications, and other services. We use IP addresses for purposes such as calculating usages levels of the Website, helping diagnose server problems, and administering the Website.

We may use Lucky Orange and other technologies to, among other things, collect and store information about your use of the Website.

Your choices and access

You can take yourself off our email list for promotional offers at any time by following the instructions contained in such emails. You can request the removal or modification of the personal information you have provided to us by simply clicking “Unsubscribe”. For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the personal information associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity and obtain information on the context in which you provided your personal information before implementing your request. We will try to accommodate your request as soon as reasonably practicable.

Please note that even after you have unsubscribed we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting such change or deletion. There may also be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed.

You may review, update, or request to modify your account information, including profile and contact information, at any time by logging into your Pet Food Experts account under your “Profile” area.

How We Respond to Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome) incorporate a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") or similar feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have his or her online activity and behavior tracked. If a website that responds to a particular DNT signal receives the DNT signal, the browser can block that website from collecting certain information about the browser's user. Not all browsers offer a DNT option and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For this reason, many digital service operators, including Pet Food Experts, do not recognize or respond to DNT signals.

Use of Service via Mobile Device

If you use the Website through your mobile device, we may collect your geo-location information to assist us in fulfilling your order. We will not share this information with third parties and will only use this information for the sole purpose of fulfilling your order. You may at any time prevent the Website from using your location by turning this option off at the device level.

When you use the Website through your mobile device, we also collect device type and UUID, a unique identifier generated within the App, and store this information in log files. We use this information to provide you with the most up-to-date application and features or to advertise or promote products or services to you that are applicable to your device type.

Information for Visitors from California and Outside of the United States

Your California Privacy Rights

This privacy policy describes how we may share your information, including for marketing purposes. California residents are entitled to request and obtain from Pet Food Experts once per calendar year information about any of your personal information shared with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, including the categories of information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we have shared such information. To request this information and for any other questions about our privacy practices and compliance with California law, please contact us at 800.637.7338.

Visitors from Outside of the United States

The Website is hosted in the United States. If you are visiting the Website from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable U.S. laws. Please note that data protection and other applicable laws of the United States may not be as comprehensive as those laws or regulations in your country or may otherwise differ from the data protection or consumer protection laws in your country. By using the Website, you consent to the transfer of your information to our facilities as described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Security

We have instituted reasonable safeguards to help ensure that information collected is secure. We also take reasonable steps to ensure that third parties who work with us to make the Website (including the software, applications and services provided on the Website) available to you agree to protect personal information that they must access in order to serve you and to honor your preferences about contacts you receive.

When you send or otherwise transmit your sensitive information to or through the Website, your sensitive information is encrypted and protected with SSL, the current industry-standard encryption protocol. When you are on an SSL-protected page, a picture of a closed lock appears at the bottom or top of some web browsers. Another way to tell if you are on a secure page is to check the URL or address of the page. (Look in the address box or right-click on the page and select "Properties".) These secure SSL-encrypted pages have URLs that start with "https://" instead of "http://".

Please understand, however, that it is possible for third parties to access information despite our efforts. Without limiting this Privacy Policy, you understand that we do not guarantee that your use of the Website and/or information provided by you will be private or secure and we are not responsible or liable to you for any lack of privacy or security you may experience. You are fully responsible for taking precautions and providing security measures best suited for your situation and intended use of the Website. You also understand that any information provided by you or collected by us or our agents in connection with your use of the Website will be used in the manner described in our Use and Disclosure of Personal Information.
